Fall Leaf Drop · Metro Atlanta
Before the winter rains
Troughs cleared by hand, downspouts flush-tested and loose seams fixed in one visit, with a written estimate first.
Fall leaf season is here in metro Atlanta. Oaks and sweetgums let go from late October into December, right on top of pine straw that never stops falling. When the winter rains arrive, a packed trough spills over the front and soaks the fascia and the red clay at your foundation. One visit now keeps the whole system draining.

We let the reviews do the talking.
Every quote here is a Google review from a metro Atlanta homeowner, word for word. Nothing bought, nothing edited.
“Everything was done in an efficient manner and was exactly as described throughout our quote. The installers made a prudent decision to delay briefly due to weather concerns, but communicated that and the reschedule date in a timely manner. These folks are solid.”
Jonathan Cole★★★★★Google“Great job by the team based out of Lithia Springs, GA. We have A LOT of gutters on our home and some were 25+ feet high and they replaced all of them for us. We recommend using them. On time each day and they worked hard!”
Andrew Scott★★★★★Google“Matthew is a complete professional. Great service. Competitive pricing. Highly recommend.”
Robert Brian Johnson★★★★★Google“Everything was very smooth from the beginning to the end. It was very easy to schedule someone to come out and get a quote for gutter guards. I was able to schedule the installation the following week. Matthew also kept me updated throughout the whole process. Communication was great !”
Tien Thompson★★★★★Google“I highly recommend Brothers Gutters. The process is straight forward; quote, schedule, install. I was wait listed for a sooner installation and got it. I discovered a small omission after the fact and a crew stopped by the next day to take care of it. Very accommodating! I’m a happy customer.”
Christopher George★★★★★Google“Guys were very friendly and explained everything they were going to do to clean out my gutters. They were quick, knocked it out in about 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend Brothers to my friends and family.”
Lewis Wilkie★★★★★Google“When I came home early from work, the guys were blowing off the debris on the ground that came off of the roof and out of the gutters. They were blowing off my driveway. A few days earlier, a storm had come through and blew limbs and leaves and debris all over the driveway. I had not had a chance to clean it up. They blew the driveway off for me and I didn’t even ask. When I thanked them for going above and beyond, John told me that his boss says to leave the home better than you found it. What a philosophy! John and Dennis were the two guys that came to clean my roof and my gutters and I highly recommend them! Great job, well worth the price!”
Donna Quinn★★★★★Google“Brothers Gutters did a great job! I’m very particular and they met all my expectations. Very satisfied with my gutters and the service provided by the installers, who were on time, clean, knowledgeable and responsive to all my concerns. I would highly recommend them!”
Brent Humphrey★★★★★Google“I have been using Mathew and his team for the past few years. Started out with an initial cleaning and repairs which I turned into a quarterly PM on all my gutters and downspouts. Reasonably priced and they find issues that occur during off hours. Limbs falling breaking brackets, or pulling the gutter away from the building. We had a severe storm last month and my cameras caught everything showing a gentle flow off the roof to becoming a waterfall. Matt came out to observe the video to better diagnose the issue. They were just here for my 3rd quarter PM. I highly recommend these guys.”
Greg Wolfe★★★★★Google“The team (Adam D., Daveion B., and Mark M.) were professional and worked really hard on installing my new gutters. Adam was in constant communication with me through out this process!!! The house looks 100% better, thank you for your service!”
Juan Bell★★★★★Google“Called they made an appointment to come out a few days later. Sent an estimate immediately. Scheduled and completed the project when it was scheduled. Worked out beautifully.”
Diane Crawford★★★★★Google“Fair price, quick days work and great new gutters making sure the water is getting away from my house!”
Matt Wells★★★★★Google“Awesome! On time, professional and no mess. So happy that I found a great gutter service and repair business. Highly recommend!!!!”
Rayne Towns★★★★★Google“Guys were professional and kind. Did a great job on removing my old gutters and putting up the new ones! Very happy with the service.”

Roofline Lab
What Atlanta weather does to a roofline.
Pick a season and fly the roofline with us. About 50 inches of rain a year lands on metro Atlanta, and the wettest stretches are winter and summer, from long soaking rains to afternoon thunderstorms. This is what your gutters are up against, and what changes when the debris cannot get in.
- Typical fall rain
- ~11 in
- What lands up there
- Oak, maple and sweetgum leaves, plus pine straw
- What our crews see
- Wet leaves packing the trough right before the winter rains arrive.
- Typical winter rain
- ~14 in
- What lands up there
- Late oak leaves, pine straw and whatever the fall drop left behind
- What our crews see
- Long, steady winter rain on gutters still packed from the fall.
- Typical spring rain
- ~12 in
- What lands up there
- Oak catkins, maple seeds and a thick coat of pine pollen
- What our crews see
- Pollen and catkins turn to sludge and seal the outlets.
- Typical summer rain
- ~14 in
- What lands up there
- Leaves and grit knocked loose in afternoon thunderstorms
- What our crews see
- Water sheeting over the front lip in a downpour and pooling at the foundation.
Season totals are typical averages for Atlanta (NOAA 1991 to 2020 normals, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport). Your street, your trees and your roof pitch decide the rest. Call (770) 213-1621 and a local crew will look at yours.

Water damage in metro Atlanta
The most expensive thing on your house is the part nobody looks at
Gutters are not decoration. They are the drainage system that decides whether the roughly 50 inches of rain a normal year brings to Atlanta leaves your roof and goes to the street, or runs down your siding and sits against your foundation. When a gutter stops moving water, the damage does not announce itself. It starts behind the fascia, under the first course of siding, and in the red clay at the corner of the house.

Where the water actually goes
Tap a point on the wall section.
01
Fascia and soffit
the board the gutter is screwed to
Water backs up behind a packed trough and sits against the fascia board. That board is wood, it is painted on one side only, and it is the thing holding your gutter to the house.
The tell. Paint blistering under the gutter line, or a gutter that has started to pull away at one end.
02
Siding and paint
the wall below the overflow
Overflow does not fall clear of the house. It sheets down the wall, gets behind the siding at the laps, and stays there long enough to swell the board and lift the paint.
The tell. A vertical stripe of clean or discolored siding under one section of gutter.
03
Foundation and crawlspace
the soil at the base of the wall
A downspout exists to carry water away from the house. When the trough above it is blocked, that water lands at the base of the wall instead, and saturated soil moves.
The tell. Soil dug out below the roofline, a downspout that stays dry in rain, or a damp crawlspace.
04
Behind finished walls
the inside face of the same wall
By the time water shows up on a wall inside, it has usually been arriving for two or three seasons. This is the point where a gutter problem becomes a drywall and framing problem.
The tell. A musty smell in one room, or a stain that keeps coming back after you paint over it.

Usually covered
A pipe that bursts tonight. A storm that tears a section off. Something sudden, accidental and datable.
Usually not covered
A gutter that has been overflowing onto the same corner of your foundation for three storm seasons. Insurers call that gradual, or a maintenance failure, and gradual does not get paid.
What actually prevents it
How often should gutters be cleaned in metro Atlanta?
For most Atlanta homes, twice a year: once after the fall leaf drop, before the winter rains, and once in late spring after the oak catkins and pine pollen come down. Homes under heavy oak or pine canopy can need more, and plenty of our customers are on a quarterly plan. The fall visit matters most, because winter is one of the wettest seasons of the year here.
Do gutter guards actually stop water damage?
Guards do not stop water. They stop the debris that stops water. BroGuard uses stainless micro-mesh, sized for oak leaves, pine straw and spring pollen, which keeps the trough clear so the system can do the job it was sized for. That is what protects the fascia, the siding and the foundation.
Is it worth replacing gutters instead of repairing them?
If the runs are sagging, seam-split or undersized for the roof, repairs buy a season. Seamless gutters are formed on site from our truck to the exact length of your roofline, so there are no factory seams in the middle of a run to split later. We will tell you honestly which one your house needs.
How do I know if my gutters are already failing?
Look for staining down the fascia, water marks on the siding under a joint, soil or mulch that has been washed out below the roofline, and a downspout that stays dry during rain. Any one of those means water is leaving the system somewhere it should not.
